Last but not least for 2016, A Noste! One of the best addresses in Paris to enjoy a good evening with friends.
This restaurant located right next to the Palais de la Bourse is led by "Julien Duboué" a French chef who decided to mix 3 ambiances in 1 restaurant.
A Noste serves all sorts of dishes with a Landes (South West region of France) twist.
The first area is my personal favorite, the lively tapas area. You sit and share large high tables and you order a wide array of tasty tapas from all around the world. What does that mean? Yes you can get spring rolls but they will be filled with foie gras and magret de canard (duck breast) (€10) or you could also order ray fish and homemade chips (fish and chips) with its tartare sauce (€15) and so on and so on with the tortilla de patatas (€10), the chipirones (€13), the nems (€15) etc. You get the drill.
Right next to this tapas area you’ll see a red trailer randomly standing there. Well that’s the « Taloak »! There are only very few seats but if you manage to get one, you won’t be disappointed. In there you can taste the famous "galettes basques" (traditional savory pancakes form the South of France).
While the buzzing downstairs area offers tapas and street food, on the first floor the atmosphere is relaxed and sophisticated. However this part of the restaurant is on the pricey side with only one menu option (€38 for lunch €60 for dinner). But if you really want to experience French South West cuisine with some premium quality products, go for it!
It is a very popular restaurant and you can’t make reservations so we would advise you to come early.
Cheers, see you in 2017!
