And we’re back in one of Paris’ most trendy neighborhood, République. This time we’re heading to Latin America with Café Chilango!
Yeah yeah, I know what you’re thinking, a taqueria means sombreros, cactuses, tequila and lucha libre masks. Well think again because at Café Chilango you won’t find any of the above. No need for that fake authenticity you’ll discover Mexico through flavors, smells and sounds.
Just so you know, you have to order at the counter and they’ll come and serve you at your table. Once you have the menu you’ll have to chose between several delicious, homemade, gluten-free Mexican specialties. We would recommend you to go for the homemade guacamole and corn chips (€6), the nachos or the range of little quesadillas (€9).
No no I didn’t forget about the drinks. Yes, the drinks are a little pricey and you can always settle for a Pacifico Clara beer (€5) but we would recommend you to try one of the cocktails made using the famous Mexican mezcal (€9).
As the place is quite small and often packed we would advise you to go there during the week or for lunch (dish + drink €13).
