Winter has officially arrived! I think, we can all safely agree that we would gladly welcome a little Southern Hemisphere ray of sunshine. Well that is exactly what Hollybelly is all about!
Located right next to the Canal Saint Martin, this lovely Australian hype cantine will bring some warmth into your cold & grey Parisian days.
You first enter a long, sobre and elegant room furnished with big white wooden tables and then you get to a smaller cosy space at the back with a leather sofa and a flipper. Coming straight from Melbourne, Holybelly’s owners are a young couple who wanted to create a cool yet qualitative cantine.
Time to order and chose between fig-caramelized nuts pancakes with whip cream and maple syrup (€11,50), a more classic egg and bacon pancake (€13) or a healthy roasted and caramelized homemade granola with fruits and milk. We could also be tempted to pick one of the numerous savory options such as poached eggs with bacon, black pudding or goat cheese (€11,50).
And of course we can’t forget to have a latte (€3) with a little mousse design and coffee beans that come straight from Belleville. If you still don’t know what to order, just ask one of the very stylish "tatted and binied up" staff members.
Before leaving we make sure we don’t forget to take one of the delicious « cookies of the day » to eat on our way home (€3).
There is no doubt you’ll be coming back!
